Scope of this policy
This policy covers the Maabilah Cars website and its current features. The platform is the contact for information collected within the website, through the official email shown on this page. Sellers and service providers are responsible for their handling of your information outside the website, alongside the policies of the channels you choose.
Information you provide
Account: your name, email and sign-in credentials, plus a phone number if you add one to your profile. Supabase manages authentication and sessions.
Listings and businesses: vehicle specifications, price, condition, location and contact details; or a business’s name, type, description, location, phone and WhatsApp. Part listings include the part’s details, number, compatibility, condition and price as entered by you.
Images and part requests: uploaded images, the requested part’s description, vehicle details, budget, location and contact information you add. Records are linked to their owner’s account, publication status and creation and update times.
Support and technical information: information you send when contacting us, session data and technical request information such as network addresses, browser type and error logs that operating services may process for connectivity, security and troubleshooting. The platform has no checkout that collects card details or receives transaction payments.
Why we use it
We use information to create accounts and authenticate access; save and manage listings, businesses, requests and images; display eligible content in categories and search; and provide the contact details you choose to add.
Account and content statuses and review information support access controls, administrative review, handling violations, troubleshooting and support requests. The current website has no integrated marketing or advertising trackers.
Who can see it?
Listings and business details approved for publication, their images and associated contact information can be available to visitors and search engines. Adding a contact number to a listing or business makes it visible according to that page’s function; only publish numbers you have permission to share.
Spare part requests are not public listings. The requester can manage them, and owners of approved or “Trusted” spare parts businesses can view open requests, their details, images and contact information within the available permissions. Authorised administrators may also access information needed for administration and review.
Your account profile is not a public contact directory. Even so, do not upload identity documents, financial information or unnecessary personal details in images or descriptions. Someone who sees public content may retain a copy after it changes.
Operating services and external links
The platform uses Supabase for authentication, its database and image storage, alongside hosting infrastructure to serve and operate the website. These services process the information needed for their functions. Using the platform does not mean information is stored exclusively in Oman.
Opening WhatsApp or an email application takes you to an external service with its own terms and privacy policy. The platform does not automatically import your external conversations.
Retention and protection
Information remains associated with account and content functions and their administration. Closing a part request or marking a car as sold does not delete its record. There is currently no automatic account deletion button; you can send a deletion request to support.
Deletion requests are considered according to the information involved, legitimate retention needs and applicable obligations. We do not promise a fixed deletion period or immediate deletion of other people’s copies or search engine indexes.
The platform uses authentication, access controls and temporary links for stored images. These controls limit unauthorised access but do not guarantee absolute security or prevent others from copying images you display to them.
Your choices and requests
You can update your name and phone through your account and edit your content using available tools. You can contact us to request access, a copy, correction or deletion of your information, object to its use or withdraw previously given consent, subject to applicable rules.
Withdrawing consent or deleting essential information may affect the associated feature. We verify the requester’s identity as appropriate and do not ask for passwords. This policy does not prevent you from approaching the competent data protection authority in Oman.
Policy updates
This page may be updated to reflect changes to features or information handling, with the update date shown above. Publishing an updated policy does not by itself constitute consent to processing that requires separate consent.
